Columbia Asia Hospital recently celebrated its 17th anniversary with the theme “Healthy Me, Happy Me”, inviting the community to enjoy a range of health-focused activities and fun experiences. We were thrilled to host a special craft workshop during this celebration, designed to bring out creativity and relaxation—right in the heart of healthcare.
The Heart of Healthy Me, Happy Me
The “Healthy Me, Happy Me” event brought together healthcare, wellness, and community spirit, offering free biometric screenings, eye exams, and even cholesterol checks to keep everyone informed about their health. Adding a touch of fun to the celebration, our craft workshop offered patients, staff, and visitors an outlet to unwind, bond, and get a little creative.
What We Crafted: Ambulances, Doctors, and Nurses! 🚑👨⚕️👩⚕️
Our workshop focused on making adorable clay miniatures that represented key figures in healthcare. Participants could choose to make models of:
- An ambulance
- A doctor
- A nurse
Using light air-dry clay, they got to experiment with basic shaping techniques. Our instructor guided each step carefully, making it easy for everyone—even beginners! Participants enjoyed the experience of handling soft clay, learning simple shaping, and seeing their miniature healthcare heroes come to life.
A Fun Moment for Columbia Asia Nurses
We had some extra fun when a few nurses joined in to make mini versions of themselves! Creating these self-portraits was a lighthearted moment for the staff, letting them celebrate their roles in a fun, memorable way. It was a special sight, watching the healthcare team unwind and enjoy some hands-on creativity.
